Biography
Pascale Falek works since 2020 as Policy Officer at the European Commission, DG Justice, in the team of Katharina von Schnurbein, European Coordinator for combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life. She worked at the Jewish Museum of Belgium, as Curator and then Director from 2014 to 2020. She organized several art and historical exhibitions, initiated intercultural and educational projects. From 2011 to 2014, she worked at the Belgian State Archives as research project manager and co-edited with Gertjan Desmet, under the direction of Pierre-Alain Tallier, Sources pour l'histoire des populations juives et du judaïsme en Belgique, 19e-20e siècles. She obtained a Master degree in Contemporary History (Université Libre de Bruxelles, 2003), a MSt in Jewish Studies (Oxford University, 2004), a MA in European Studies (College of Europe, Natolin - Warsaw, 2005), and a PhD in History and Civilization from the European University Institute (Florence, 2011).
