Biography

Lena Rubenfeld Koralewska is an experienced project manager, social entrepreneur, and cultural producer whose focus is on Jewish memory, Polish-Jewish dialogue and informal Jewish education. For over a decade she has served on boards of various Jewish-Polish communities and NGOs. In 2017 she co-founded FestivALT, a Jewish multidisciplinary cultural organization where she continues to serve as Co-Director. In 2022, she completed her second MS degree - Master of Science in Organizational Leadership & Innovation at the Hebrew Union College's Department for Jewish Non-Profit Management. She is a member of the 7th Cohort of Schusterman Fellows and works at Limmud Europe, an emerging network of European Limmud communities.

<p>FestivALT is a Jewish-led multidisciplinary cultural organization that uses critically-engaged contemporary art, performance and activism to encourage deeper and more complex understandings and representations of Jewish culture in contemporary Poland. It is a platform promoting civic engagement and critical thought in order to encourage, support, and advocate for a more inclusive and democratic society. Our work focuses on three pillars: </p><ul><li>Jewish heritage and memory - we address the neglect, appropriation, and commodification of Jewish material heritage and memory, advocating for improved policies and practices.</li><li>Advocacy and Activism - we aim to increase awareness about complications of representation and self-determination for minorities in Poland.</li><li>Contemporary Jewish Art - we are an arbiter for Poland's contemporary Jewish art scene.</li></ul>

Biography

Tamar Schwarzbard is Head of Digital Operations at the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In her role, Tamar manages the State of Israel's digital channels, sharing Israel's story with millions around the world. Tamar has a B.A in history from Yeshiva University and a Masters in Communications and Journalism from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She moved to Israel from New York City in 2013.
